Daily Implied Move — part of the 2nd Skies Terminal

How far can it move today?
The market already told you.

The Daily Implied Move reads the options market’s own forecast of today’s range and puts it on your desk before the open — so you size positions, set targets, and place stops against what’s actually priced, not a guess.

What it shows

The day’s range, priced and framed before you trade.

The implied move is the options market’s own forecast of how far price can travel today. The app hands it to you in four reads.

The expected move

How far price is expected to travel today — in points and percent — straight from what the options market is pricing.

Upper & lower levels

The two prices that bracket the session’s expected range, so you have hard reference points before the bell.

Where price sits

How far into the day’s range price has already traveled — so you can see when a move is getting stretched.

A frame for the day

Whether the market is pricing a wide, volatile session or a tight one — before you decide how much to risk.

Why it matters

Stop guessing the day’s range. It’s already priced.

Most traders set targets and stops on feel. The implied move replaces the guess with the market’s own number — so you can right-size your position, keep targets inside a realistic band, place stops beyond the noise, and recognize exhaustion the moment price presses the edge of the range.

A live read

Reading the range before the move.

On May 1, the 2nd Skies positioning read flagged 725 as the next significant level on the board — noted in the morning commentary at 6:49am MT, before the open.

Morning Market Commentary · May 1 · 6:49am MT

We’re in a solid pocket of positive gamma with 725 the next big strike on the board. VIX continuing lower only helps the rally via the Vanna lever… until we get a close below 715 in SPY, we like staying bullish.

→ SPY hit 725 by Friday’s close. Timestamped, documented, and read before the move — this is what trading the structure looks like.

What members say

“Before I joined 2ndSkies, I’d been trying to trade on my own for 11 years without any success whatsoever. I’m now making money consistently. This has truly been a life-changing experience.”

★★★★★Jeremy

“Unlike many other courses, he doesn’t shy away from complexity. As a student, I feel like I’m genuinely learning something valuable. Chris emphasizes practice to make concepts second nature.”

★★★★★David

“Starting out with 2ndSkies 5 years ago was hands-down the best investment I’ve ever made. I’ve developed my skills far enough to trade full time soon.”

Common questions

Good to know.

When does it update?

Before the open, every session — the expected range for the day ahead, so it’s in front of you before your first trade.

What is the implied move, exactly?

It’s the range the options market is pricing for the session — how far price is expected to move, up or down, derived from current option prices. In plain terms: the market’s own forecast of today’s range, expressed as points and a percent.

How is this different from GammaLens and OptionsLens?

Three different reads. GammaLens shows live gamma positioning — the top call and put strikes, in real time. OptionsLens is the daily open-interest snapshot — where the most contracts sit. The Daily Implied Move is the day’s expected price range. All three come with the Terminal.

How do I get it?

It’s part of the 2nd Skies Terminal at $249/year, or included in the full PFP course. There’s no separate Daily-IM-only purchase — one Terminal subscription unlocks every app.
