What moved, and how far. Six timeframes, including Since Open, which strips out the gap so you can see what was actually bought or sold during the session.
Which names traded far more, or far less, than their 20-day average. A big move on heavy volume carries conviction. A big move on light volume often does not.
Where the options money went. Bigger tiles had more options traded; color shows whether most of that money went into calls or puts. It shows the positioning behind the price, the way PFP traders read the market.
Rank the 11 sector ETFs or 24 industry ETFs by any timeframe. Switch to vs SPY to see what is beating the market, not just what went up. A sector that is weak this week but strong over three months is pulling back inside an uptrend. The six-period strip on every row shows it at a glance.
Inside the 2nd Skies Terminal, SectorLens updates every 5 minutes during market hours, so you can see which sectors are moving and where rotation is building while it happens.

What is a stock market heatmap?
A heatmap shows every stock in an index as a tile, grouped by sector. Tile size reflects how big the company is, and color shows how much it moved: green for up, red for down. One look tells you which sectors drove the market and which held it back.
How often is SectorLens updated?
After every market close. The map reflects end-of-day prices for the S&P 500, the 11 SPDR sector ETFs and 24 industry ETFs.
What does “Since Open” mean?
It measures each stock from that day’s open to its close, ignoring the overnight gap. A stock can gap up and still sell off all day. Since Open shows that intraday story.
What is relative volume?
Relative volume compares a stock’s volume today with its average over the last 20 sessions. 2x means it traded twice its normal amount. Unusual volume often marks where institutions are active.
What does the options flow view show?
Tile size shows how much money traded in a stock’s options that day. Color shows how much of that money went into calls versus puts: 62% calls is green, 70% puts is red, 50/50 is neutral. It shows where the options activity was, not whether traders were buying or selling. It is available in the 2nd Skies Terminal version of SectorLens.
Is SectorLens free?
Yes. The heatmap and sector performance views with % change and relative volume are free on this page. The options flow view comes with the 2nd Skies Terminal, which has a 14-day free trial.
